Four years on the road. It doesn't seem possible. I guess time flies when you're constantly fixing shit. 😂🤣_Seriously though; I've been a lot of places, met a lot of people and done a lot of things. Like I tell everyone; this lifestyle has good days and bad days, just like anything else. For me, the good days still outweigh the bad ones and I'm not ready to learn how to winterize the RV yet. My experience at the 2019 Sturgis motorcycle rally was a great one. It's an unbelievably beautiful area. Highlights for me were Needles Highway, Deadwood, Devils Tower, Custer State Park, Iron Mountain Road... I could keep going. I'd gladly spend the entire summer there. I feel like Daytona is a "biker town", but they've got nothing on Sturgis. Sturgis has very little identity outside of being a "biker town". I mean, look at this mail truck! It may be the only place in the US where the mail trucks have flames in their paint job. Plus, look at that sweet rear wheel hub cap - made to be the rear wheel of the illustrated bike! I've always loved trains and rail travel. This was the first time that I've been able to watch a steam locomotive in active service. The first Saturday of each month, the @grandcanyonrail uses this beauty to pull their load to the South Rim. I thought about taking the ride (again), but I really wanted to be able to watch this awesome machine in action. It was a beautiful experience! If you find yourself nearby, I'd HIGHLY recommend riding the Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale, AZ. I rode on their monthly "Starlight Ride" last evening and it was absolutely amazing.
